About

Salina Charities League Mission shall be to provide assistance to organizations for needed programs, facilities, activities, and for worthwhile charitable, educational, and cultural programs within Salina and Saline County. Salina Charities League (SCL) started in 1968 by women volunteers who wanted to give back to their community. The first fundraiser was an Arabian horse show and auction, and in 1972, the Men's Golf Tournament began. Since its inception, SCL has given more than $1,500,000 to local non-profit organizations. Funds are generated via sponsorship opportunities and a live and silent auction. Local charities are encouraged to submit requests to SCL, which is followed by an interview and evaluation of where the monies should be donated. One hundred percent of all funds raised are given back to Salina charities.
